Story

Not many people are aware that the color of a natural sapphire gem is not limited to the traditional blue. Depending upon the presence of trace elements (such as copper or iron), the gem can be pink, yellow, purple, green, orange and even red (although this is referred to as a ruby).

Art Deco styling has brought a vivid hot pink natural sapphire of an estimated 1.05 carats to the forefront in this classic cluster ring of precious platinum. The round faceted sapphire presents with very fine clarity and a bright hue especially when set with a scalloped surround of eleven (11) old European cut diamonds. Split platinum shoulders each set with a single cut diamond within a teardrop form brings the total estimated diamond weight of the ring to .68 carats (I-J color; SI1-2 clarity). This period ring will keep a bloom on your cheeks all year round.

Date: Circa 1925.
