A pale blue natural aquamarine of an estimated .85 carats makes its presence known in a artful ring of 14k yellow gold. Art Deco styling offers a horizontal profile for the rectangular and faceted gem. The interior edges of the gold bezel sport incised diagonal slashes all along the perimeter. The encased stone is raised up on a lintel-like platform with an ornate design appointing the borders. An open work form in the shape of a half moon strikes a balance with a cruciform element accessing the negative space. An intricate series of engravings appoints the under gallery and sides of the shank.
Date: Circa 1925.
