Story

Cluster rings are particularly sought out as they tend to multiply the looks of the individuals diamonds into one big impact statement! This 14k yellow gold one from the Victorian era is just spectacular.

Although the overall configuration is traditional in its flower form, it is unusual that the eight (8) outer diamonds surrounding the centered old mine cut diamond are teardrop or petal shaped and thus create a unique foliate image in diamonds. In all, nine (9) the superb and radiant diamonds have a total estimated diamond weight of 1.52 carats (I-J color range; VS2-SI1 clarity; one diamond has K-L color and one had SI1-2 clarity).

An atypical ornate gallery of pierced open work displays the diamonds to their best advantage. Gloriously engraved patterning ornaments the tapering sides which segue into a smooth silken shank. Eye popping and elegant.

Date: Circa 1880.
