Story

This delightful cluster ring of gold formerly lived a life as a fichu pin or brooch. Around the turn of the 20th century the lovely little lace pin was transformed into a babble for the finger. To all it is clear that the metamorphosis was entrancing.

Central to the ring is a faceted oval topaz with proportions of 8.5 mm by 6.5 mm and rich hues of a peach amber. A oval of twenty (20) natural half seed pearls embrace the luscious topaz as twelve (12) flat cut almandine garnets form a surround which encloses the cluster of gems all set closed back in 10k rose gold with the topaz and garnets foiled. An ornate shank of 14k yellow gold embellished with delicate and fine foliate motifs finishes the ring with panache.

Date: Cluster top is circa 1820; shank is circa 1900.

Important: This ring should not be in water nor exposed to any other liquids, cleaning products or harsh chemicals.
