Story

The Art Nouveau movement was celebrated for its sensuous styling and sinuous representation of floral forms. Here is a Russian interpretation of the style elements in a 14k yellow gold ring with nature almost taking over with a florid growth of leaves and petals rhythmic in content and balance in symmetry. Trapped within the confines is a natural faintly pink old mine cut diamond of about .25 carats (the beautiful minute pink inclusion in the center, only visible with magnification bring forth a SI3 clarity). Russian marks for gold content and assay office are impressed on the outside back of the shank.

Date: Circa 1900.
