This deliciously darling Georgian pansy (from the French for “thinking of you”) ring of 15 k yellow gold is set with a flowerhead display of five (5) garnets, five (5) emeralds and one green paste. Open work shoulders of scroll-like configuration display a characteristic element to the ring. The reverse reveals an intact glass covered locket. The later date shank is engraved with hand worked designs.

Measurements: 3/8 of an inch (1.0 cm) in length north to south on the hand and rises 3/16 of an inch (0.5 cm) in height off the finger. Weight of 1.9 grams (1.2 dwt).

Ring Size: US 6-3/4 (UK N; Euro or Int. Circum. 53.8 mm; Int. Dia. 17.1 mm; Japan over 13) and easily can be sized to fit most. Ring sizing information.

Hallmarks: Full set of English hallmarks for Birmingham, 15k, 625 (for 15k) and a date letter for 1864; an illegible maker's mark.

Condition: Very good; ring has been reshanked with a slightly later antique shank which is expertly done and only visible with magnification. One emerald replaced with paste stone. Garnets vary in color from more purple to more red orange for one.
