Story

By 1930 Art Deco was in as full of swing as was the Jazz Age. In Paris L’Union des Artistes Modernes began operation and at Lexington and 42nd Street the Chrysler Building reached for the stars in abject Art Deco form New York City style.

Not a far cry from all the fanfare that 1930 held, this platinum ring holds its superbly hued aquamarine matrix high and with just a kiss of teal. Almost cushion cut, the actual 9.69 carat natural aquamarine stone takes in all the blue of the waters of the earth and their composite reflection in the sky. The gem shines with exceptional brilliance and has a personality which matches the era. In parlance of the time: that hot mamma is butter and egg fly. The open work platinum mount features classic Art Deco step-down shoulders, each set with five (5) rose cut diamonds for a total estimated diamond weight of .10 carats.

Date: Circa 1900.
