Story

Jewelry several centuries old brings with it a certain something that only time can achieve. Perhaps it is the glow that comes to antique gold or maybe the decades of contact with the caress of a human being. No matter the root cause, it is inevitable that the beauty and magic materializes as soon as the piece is placed upon the body.

This Georgian ring of 15k yellow gold exhibits the expected characteristics of jewelry from that period with stones foiled and set closed back. Here an 18th century faceted garnet takes the lead with its handsome horizontal view and closed back construction with a basket weave or sun burst pattern ornamenting the gold. Flanking each side of the centered garnet are two (2) rose cut diamonds in the typical silver setting, a distinguished profile with curved details flatters the vertical bands incised along the silken shank.

Important: This ring should not be in water for an extended period of time nor exposed to other liquids, cleaning products or harsh chemicals.

Date: Circa 1750 - 1790.
