Story

We typically categorize jewelry by a timeline as to when the piece was created. A few of the more generally used are Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco. However, the years that encompass these eras and not always hard and fast. Moreover, those style characteristics attributed to those years are also fluid and so overlap.

Although this 10k yellow gold ring was crafted during the years referred to as Art Deco (1915 - 1935) , the design of the piece lends itself closer to that of the Edwardian era (1890 - 1915). Center is an oval turquoise gem cut en cabochon and prong set. A faceted peridot is situated both east and west of the ovoid stone. The two (2) peridots of an estimated .40 carats each are smaller in size than the turquoise but perfectly complement its oval configuration thus creating a colorful three gemstone ring of feminine proportions.

Date: Circa 1920.
