Story

The spessartine garnet was originally named spessartite and has a color which ranges from mandarin-orange to red-orange in color. This dark orange gem is approximately 3.5 carats in weight and has been faceted and cut into an oval shape. A nicely appointed fourteen (14) stone diamond surround consisting of a mix of old European, single and transitional cuts with an estimated total diamond weight of .45 carats (H-J color range; SI1-2 clarity) frames the orange red stone with a bright white halo. All set into a lovely embossed 14k white gold mount.

Measurements: 9/16 of an inch (1.5 cm) in length north to south on the hand and rises 3/16 of an inch (0.5 cm) in height off the finger. Weight of 3.6 grams (2.3 dwt).

Ring Size: US 5-1/2 (UK K; Int. Dia. 16; Euro 51 mm; Japan 10) and easily can be sized to fit most. Ring sizing information.

Condition: Very good; a bit of wear to impressed designs on side of shank and underneath gallery; one minute chip to garnet edge only visible with magnification.

Note: Stones have not been removed from their mounts to preserve the integrity of the setting. All diamond and gemstone weights have been approximated by measurement and formula and may vary from actual weights. Grading has been done in situ and may vary if stones are removed.
