Story

The design of a cluster ring is simplicity itself with a large central gemstone surrounded with smaller gems or diamonds. Knowing what gems and proportions harmonize in combination and what corresponding metals to utilize are what truly separates the striking from the ordinary.

A luscious cultured pearl just shy of 6 mm in diameter transports its translucency and shimmering iridescence from watery depths. Centered within a surround of an array of ten (10) old European and old mine cut diamonds with an estimated diamond total of .75 carats, the inner glow of the pearl joins forces with a fiery circle of brilliance in a coronet setting of platinum over 18k yellow gold. An under gallery provides a floating circle of 18k yellow gold for the cluster. An unadorned shank of seamless 18k yellow gold captures the hand in an unending embrace.

Date: Circa 1925.
