Embellished with polychromatic blue enamel and a mix of sixty-four (64) rose cut and old mine cut diamonds of an estimated .50 carats, the iridescent wonder of an avian effortlessly glides through the air. Its diamond-studded head with ruby set eyes keeps a steady focus to return always to home base.

Date: Circa 1880.

Measurements: 1-1/2 inches (3.7 cm) in length by 2-5/8 inches (7 cm) in width. Weight of 12.7 grams (8.1 dwt).

Condition: Excellent; one rose cut diamond in head replaced with a brilliant cut diamond; later hinge and replaced or reinforced "C" clasp.
