Story

Jewelry from 1930s made a shift from the vertical profile to a horizontal one. Rings especially were set with a centered stone between shoulders with a geometric design. An old European cut diamond of about .65 carats (H-I color; VS1-VS2 clarity) shines oh so brightly set in a square platinum mount. Flanking each shoulder is an open work triptych of single cut diamonds each set within its own a geometric form. Altogether, these six (6) single cut diamonds add .06 carats for a total diamond weight of .71 carats. Embellished with mille graining, the circa 1935 ring displays a finely crafted under gallery of open work design.

Date: Circa 1935.
