Story

A waterfall of natural saltwater pearls cascades from a cap of silver dotted with five (5) rose cut diamonds. Graduated in size from 3.98 mm to 1.38 mm, these ribbons of pearls of the Pinctada species form an articulated tassel of lustrous creamy white.

An old mine cut diamond in a pinched collet setting of silver serves as the surmount suspending the tassel. Yellow gold of 14k comprises the later date ear wires, connection points and back of surmount. This pair of antique earrings has a total estimated diamond weight of .40 carats.

Accompanied by GIA gemological lab certificate (see "Measurements & More").

Date: Circa 1890.

THE FINE PRINT

Due to the nature of antique & vintage jewelry, many diamond and gemstone weights are calculated by measurements, not removed. Actual weights are noted in the item’s description. Grading of diamonds and gemstones may vary slightly when removed.

HONESTY

Being as honest as possible about the items we represent for sale is our ultimate goal! Our pricing is industry recognized as fair and equitable with value as the byword.

Measurements: 2-1/16 inches in length (5.2 cm) including ear wire by 5/16 of an inch (0.7 cm) at the widest. Weight for the pair is 6.1 grams (3.9 dwt).

Condition: Very good; later ear wires pearls appear to be restrung for security.

Note: These earrings come with a GIA (Gemolocial Institute of American) certificate stating that the pearls are predominantly natural of the saltwater species Pinctada.
