Story

One of the main themes of the Art Deco movement was the use of geometry in opposition. In this example of a sterling silver brooch, circles and scrolls create a dynamic which results in a feeling of tension. The piece itself is streamlined yet expresses an extravagance of form with the incorporation of the contrast of green and black enamel ornamentation amidst a setting of clear white pastes.
