Story

Newly discovered in 1902 in California, the gemstone Kunzite was named after gemologist and author expert George F. Kunz, the first individual to study and evaluate the then newly uncovered stone. A form of spodumene, it is unusual and somewhat rare.

This example, particularly appealing and feminine with its pale pink color and hints of lilac hues has been faceted, cut into an oval of 6.68 carats. The gem has been claw set in a 14k yellow gold mount and echoes an earlier style with split shoulders and modified scroll motif that translates into a quite contemporary look.
