Story

Bloodstone or heliotrope is a variety of chalcedony. Symbolically imbued with the traits of a hero, upon its wearer it bestows courage, strength and power as it protects us from our own banal desires.

Cut into an oval and polished to a smooth flat surface, a slab of bloodstone quite handsome and august in its presentation as a field of green dotted with swirling patterns of deep red, has been has been set into a resplendent mount of 15k yellow gold. Broad sloping shoulders and sides are appointed with a Greek inspired strong scroll motif reminiscent of the capital of an ionic column and a cartouche containing a row of three golden orbs.

Suitable for a man’s hand; lovely on the slender fingers of a woman.
