Surrounding the central emerald are six large natural half pearls also set into crimped collet settings of gold.

As is expected of almost all Georgian jewelry, all gems have been set closed back. The creamy luster of each pearl, the vivid green of the emerald combined with the glow that only gold of an antique nature has to create a stellar ring. Botanically inspired split shoulders of embossed foliate design set off a simple 14k yellow gold shank.

Measurements: Width north to south on the finger is 1/2 of an inch (1.2 cm) and across the pearl flower area is just over 7/16 of an inch (1.1 cm). Height off the finger is 3/16 of an inch (0.5 cm). Weight of 3.5 grams (2.2 dwt).

Ring Size: 8 1/2 US (UK Q-1/4; Euro 18.5, 58.25 mm) and can be easily sized by our expert jewelers. Ring sizing information.

Condition: Very good; ring has been re-shanked; some minor chipping to edges of facets on emerald.

Date & Origin: Circa 1820. Possibly English in origin.

Important: This ring should not be in water for an extended period nor exposed to any other liquids, cleaning products or harsh chemicals due to the nature of the pearls and foil backed stones. If considering as an engagement ring, please keep this in mind.
