Visualize being transported back to an era when the wearing of jewels was only the right of royalty. We love the attitude of...wear jewelry with your morning coffee, just because you can.
Very fine gem quality, a gorgeous heated Burmese ruby plays a pivotal role in the styling of this piece. The oval faceted gem tops the 2 carat mark at 2.063.
In recent years Burmese rubies achieved a status of "top pick" amount gemstones, coveted and desired thus prices have skyrocketed. Those most sought after include hues of true "ruby red" or often termed "pigeon's blood red" and this one falls in that category beyond doubt.
This Burma ruby is superb reflecting a deep yet lively coloration. Balanced proportions of 8.28 by 6.74 by 3.84 mm and moderate inclusions are combined with an excellent price and value. The inclusions are faint and it takes some searching for them.
A surround of twelve (12) antique old European cut diamonds total a luxurious 2.07 carats. Nearest the ruby, another oval of diamonds adds .20 carats for a grand total of 2.27 carats. All diamonds are G-H color and VS clarity, encircling the ruby with two halos of fiery glittering white light.
Certificates from Stone Group Labs no. 161215A-TG and Guild Labs no. 436-240 for the ruby stating that it is Burmese with evidence of heat with estimated retail value of $13,000.
