This is a signed Louis Vuitton 18k gold pendant in the forms of an envelope that opens and closes. Inside is a thin compartment about the size of a stamp, for your chosen treasure.
To the front, the face of the envelope is engraved with Louis Vuitton, 101 Champs-Élysées, 75008 Paris. In the top right corner, the image of a stamp and wavy cancel mark.
Appearing as a letter addressed to the flagship store in Paris, it features a pendant bale that opens and closes allowing this to be suspended from any chain up to about 4 mm in diameter.
The back is plain and highly polished, the flap hinged to click up or back down closing securely.
No longer made, the front bears faint traces invisible to the eye, of initials, BBB & FWB 8.4.10 for April 8, 2010. There is a sentimental story behind this gift if only we knew. One can only wonder. Please note this back engraving is only visible with powerful jeweler's magnification.
