Archetypal, these revival 18k gold earrings recall the splendor of the ancient world. Scare and fine, the form is that of amphorae or urns.
Hollow, typical of the type, they feature delicate applied wire work around the time, handles, and the top of the largest portion of the vessels.
Supremely flattering to most facial shapes, they elongate the profile and glow with a high-carat finish similar to 22k.
They come in an antiqued refitted box. Only a few pairs of these have crossed The Three Graces' path in all our years.

Many people think of the Victorian era of jewelry as one stylistic group. But there were a myriad of movements within the span of years from about 1845 to 1890.
First, the Romantic Period flourished, where sentimental jewelry, flower motifs, and smaller-scale pieces were fashionable. With the death of Prince Albert, Queen Victoria's consort in 1861, memorial jewelry swept through London and Europe, America, and beyond. Long-lasting, this genre of jewelry can be found in numerous decades.
Another major movement was the Archaeological Revival era, which sprang from the burgeoning excavations of the day. They included themes and motifs from ancient civilizations such as Egypt, Greece, Rome, and the Etruscan cultures.
Further movements include the Grand Period, often associated with diamond and gemstone jewelry, with many other sub-movements.
