In the jewelry trade, the diamonds in this vintage ring are often lovingly referred to as chunky monkeys. Used for antique diamond cuts, the terms means they are the tops (from the edges up or girdle), are deep, wide, and thus gloriously refractive. Old mine, cushion and European cuts may earn this distinction.
For when they are "chunky", the light the reflect and their flashlight brilliance is a standout. Big culets also are part of the fun.
Distinctive in its geometric shape, and resting low on the finger, this finger bauble weights in at a radiant 4.10 carats and it is a dinner or cocktail ring that might just need to be worn daily.
