This says it all...a gold, finely hand-engraved heart motif locket is accompanied by an unique gold chain.
The heart itself opens with a hidden finger nail slot and boasts a well concealed hinge to the opposite edge. One side is entirely covered with scrolling leaves and lyrical designs. The other, more of the same but with a blank shield shape that, if desired, could be engraved with for a monogram, or initials. Contact us for more info.
One interior frame remains intact. The other side has a lip that will help hold a photo.
A gorgeous 18 inch chain alternates oval links with double long oval interlocked, flat links and sparkling faceted hollow orbs that catch the light.
The chain is 9k gold and still retains its tube shaped hinge. Look for these when hunting for antique chains!
The heart is 9k for the front and back, construction that is typical for the time period. Meaning that the entire front and back are 9k gold. The frames, and parts of the hinge and interior lips have some gold plated parts. However, visually, the entire locket is consistent in its bright, yellow gold and finish.
Please note the chain can only be removed by a jeweler.
