Prices keep rising and no end is in sight for the crème de la crème of the jewelry and gemstone world. Of interest and particular note is the ever increasing desirability of the famed female jeweler, Suzanne Belperron. In the ranks of jewelry, women historically have fared a bit less brilliantly than the men. But one exception is the former Boivon artisan and then turned solo creator of fashion forward and strikingly ultra moderne jewels. Take these cuff bracelets of chalcedony, sapphire and diamonds, formerly owned by the Grande Dame of the jewelry world, the Duchess of Windsor. Of course, their paltry price tag didn't take any downturn given their esteemed provenance. But having reached $526k, it is a marvel as to the heights that can be reached.
