Harvey Relief % Feeding Those In Rockport, Tx

Rockport, Texas the site of landfall of the terrible Hurricane Harvey struggles to recover. But it won't go hungry. This small community on the Gulf of Texas is home to approximately 9000 individuals. Much of the area was flattened by intense winds, flooding rains and storm surges during Hurricane Harvey late August of 2017. "Thai How Are You" food truck hit the scene this morning and by mid day, was serving up meals for free.

Rescue workers, officials, police force, clean-up crews and local citizens, anyone and everyone is welcome. The truck is set up in the parking lot of the Ace Hardware store at the corner of 35 and Olympic Drive, 2631 TX-35 BUS, 78382. Many companies are pitching in to make this possible including Cisco Foods, Hill Country Springs water, Bubba's Propane, The Three Graces and also numerous individuals are donating their time and money. Safe drinking water is being supplied by a truck not 20 feet away. Plans are to continue these efforts through Monday. See also here for more.
