Ethereal Oval Moonstone Bracelet
Eleven (11) striking ovals of moonstones sit side-by-side. Length of gems graduates from just under 5/8 of an inch down to 5/16 of an inch. Widths range from 5/16 of an inch to 3/16 of an inch. Authentic turn of the century moonstone jewelry reveals that characteristic variation with which each stone is gifted; every gem subtly different in size, shape, and integral form giving it that charming hand crafted touch. The stones are set in 9 carat gold bezels with elongated rectangles of gold links forming the rest of the bracelet.
Overall, the entire bracelet measures 7-ΒΌ inches in length (18.3 cm). Blue-white in hue, the moonstones are very fine and have a blue cast that flashes purple. All original with a slight imperfection in a few of the gold links; otherwise excellent condition. Circa 1900 and, most likely, English in origin.
A heavenly form to grace the wrist as the play of light in the moonstones and the shaped gems meld into a superlative combination.
