All Aglow: Art Deco Diamond Platinum Ring
The glitter and shine of diamonds is never understated. Neither the most simple nor the most ornate setting will lessen that impact. This particular example of the jeweler’s art uses a transitional brilliant cut diamond of .96 carats (F-G color; SI2 clarity) in a round setting to garner attention.
Two (2) old European cut diamonds with a total weight of .92 carats (K-L color; VS2-SI1 clarity) set in square settings flank the center diamond and bring additional focus to the sophistication of the ring. On each shoulder of the platinum ring a brace of single cut diamonds read as all brilliant, well matched with intense fire and lively personality. A smooth shank finishes the period piece.
A European Gemological Laboratory (EGL) certificate is supplied for the three main diamonds, with a replacement value of $13,330.
Date: Circa 1935.
Measurements: 1/4 of an inch (0.8 cm) in length north to south on the hand and rises 1/4 of an inch (0.8 cm) in height off the finger. Weight of 5.4 grams (3.4 dwt).
