Edwardian Baroque Pearl & Diamond Pendant
Natural freshwater baroque pearls (untested but assumed to be natural due to age and examination) join with dazzling diamonds in the creation of an exquisite Edwardian pendant. A freshwater pearl, 9 mm by 10 mm in length suspends a small floral spray of platinum topped 14k yellow gold is set with three (3) rose cut and two (2) old European cut diamonds with a petite button pearl adding to the glittering mix. The spray terminates with a larger baroque freshwater pearl 19 mm by 14 mm by 11 mm. The feminine and elegant period piece is accompanied by a 14k yellow gold rolo chain of later vintage.
Date: Circa 1910.
Measurements: Pendant is 1-1/2 inches (3.8 cm) in length not including fittings by 9/16 of an inch (1.4 cm) at the widest. Chain is 15-1/2 inches (40 cm) in length. Weight of 8.8 grams (5.7 dwt) including chain.
Condition: Excellent; button pearl has small traces of glue at edges visible with magnification. Chain is not original to pendant and is of later date.
