Supremely elegant, this circa 1925 diamond platinum ring would most certainly have been appropriate for a flamboyant night at a Greenwich Village speakeasy or sophisticated entertainment at the 300 Club on 54th Street.
In stark contrast to the sleek fashions contemporary with this platinum ring, a curvaceous profile and side detail enhance a transitional round brilliant cut diamond of an estimated .75 carats (H-I color; SI1 clarity). Platinum “wings”, shoulders and front and back gallery are studded with twenty (20) single cut diamonds with a total estimated diamond weight of .25 carats. Attention to details such as mille grain decoration and fine engraving along the shank only add to the sophistication and elegance of this Art Deco diamond finger ring.
Accompanied by a European Gemological Laboratory (EGL) certificate for the main diamond.
Date: Circa 1925.
Measurements: 5/16 of an inch (0.9 cm) in length north to south on the hand and rises 1/4 of an inch (0.6 cm) in height off the finger. Weight of 2.9 grams (1.9 dwt).
