Georgian Antique Black Dot Paste Earrings
The flower cluster form flourished during the Georgian era. Regarded as quite fashionable, here we see a characteristic example of a two element earring of black dot white pastes surrounding a purple hued center paste. The stones are closed back in the typical silver setting. Modern 10k yellow gold ear wires have been added.

Date: Circa 1830.
Measurements: 1 inch (2.5 cm) in length with ear wire by 1/2 of an inch (1.2 cm) at the widest. Weight for the pair is 8.0 grams (5.1 dwt).
Condition: Very good; one paste replaced with an old paste; modern 10k yellow gold ear wires. These were most likely not originally earrings but part of a larger suite of jewelry.
