A magical large natural saltwater blister pearl (37 mm by 17.3 mm by 12.9 mm) is crowned with a draping garland and bale of 14k white gold set with twenty-five (25) old mine and single cut diamonds with a total estimated diamond weight of .40 carats. The luminous pendant is paired with a 14k white gold rolo chain interspersed with twelve (12) natural white salt water pearls ranging in diameter from 3 mm to just shy of 5.5 mm. Elegance personified, natural pearls are the epitome of desirability and old world luxury.
This piece is accompanied by a European Gemological Laboratory (EGL) report stating that the pearls are natural saltwater.
Date: Circa 1910.
Measurements: Pendant is 1-7/8 inches (4.7 cm) in total length including bale. Pearl is 1-3/8 inches (3.5 cm) in length by 11/16 of an inch (1.7 cm) at the widest. Chain is 19-3/4 inches (50 cm) in length. Weight of 18.4 grams (11.8 dwt).
Condition: Very good; chain appears to be later addition to necklace; largest diamond has a small edge chip visible with a loupe; largest pearl is natural with natural surface variations and reverse has a natural indentation.
Note: Diamonds have not been removed from their mounts to preserve the integrity of the setting. All diamond weights have been approximated by measurement and formula and may vary from actual weights.
