Dynamic Diamond & Coral Earrings
Natural coral the color of a ripe persimmon has been cut into cabochons about 5.5 carats each and claw set with a bezel of 14k yellow gold. The oval cabochons are each embraced by a surround of twenty-eight (28) brilliant cut diamonds including two trefoils of three (3) brilliant cuts each. A lozenge pendant drop of 14k yellow gold is kissed with a princess cut diamond which brings a total estimated diamond weight of .85 carats and twenty-nine (29) diamonds for each earring. The diamond frame is set upon a wondrous open undercarriage of yellow gold.
Date: Circa late 20th century.
Measurements: 1-5/16 inches (3.2 cm) in total length by 3/4 of an inch (2 cm) in width. Weight of 17.0 grams (10.9 dwt) for the pair.
Hallmarks: â585â; â14kâ.
Condition: Excellent.
