Rare & Fiery 20th C. Oval Diamond Ring

SOLD
Similar

The oval cut diamond was created in 1957 by Lazare Kaplan. A variation of the round brilliant diamond, the oval cut has an elongated or elliptical shape. Presented here in a mid to later 20th century example, the 1.04 carat diamond featured has a D color, the highest demarcation possible reflecting a gem which is absolutely colorless and extremely rare. The colorless diamond shows off the qualities of the cut perfectly. With a SI1 clarity, this oval gem brilliantly reflects light. On each shoulder of the platinum mount, a brace of marquise cut diamonds and a single cut add just the right accent.

The ring has a total diamond weight of 1.34 carats of fire and light and is accompanied by gemological lab certificate (see "Measurements & More").

Historical Notes: Lazare Kaplan International, now located on Fifth Avenue in New York City is a diamond cutting and manufacturing company founded in 1903 in Antwerp, Belgium by its namesake Lazare Kaplan.
