Victorian Diamond and Ruby Cat Brooch
Cat lovers are often envious of the plethora of antique dog jewelry from which to choose. While certainly not plentiful, much more was produced for the canine lover than for the fancier of felines. So here is a special treat…sixty (60) rose cut diamond mêlées punctuate the silver surface of this cat motif brooch. Ruby eyes, a ruby-dotted bow, whiskers of gold and a tiny mouth add charm as two front paws complete the cat. Rose gold on the reverse, the stones are set open backed. All original and beautiful in construction.
