Café Société - French Blue Enamel Pendant
With all the trappings expected of a jazz era piece, this jewel of a pendant IS the bee’s knees. No ifs, and or buts as this 1920s bauble is strikingly geometric in its overall configuration with silver metal, sparkling marcasites and contrasting hues of blue enamel in combine to make a large quintessential Art Deco pendant. Semi-circular bubbles playfully bounce off chevron patterns galore in an enticing game of cat and mouse.
Measurements: 2-15/16 inches (7.5 cm) in length including original bale and 2-1/2 inches (6.4 cm) without by 1-5/8 inches (4.2 cm) at the widest. Weight of 21 grams (13.5 dwt).
Hallmarks: "Made in France"; two French poinçons or hallmarks.
Condition: Excellent; one chip to enamel on top left point; light wear to silver on reverse.
Date & Origin: Circa 1925 and is French in origin.
