Pavé Paste Heart Pendant Brooch
Versatility comes in a shimmering package with this wonderland of white pavé paste in heart form. Wear it as a pendant, a brooch or just hang to dangle from the bottom hook. Originally the wearer would have donned a watch but now hang a pearl, bead or crystal drop from it. Puffed and sculptural, all pastes appear original and fine. All in sterling except for the "O" fitting on the pendant fold-down bale. A golden color wash makes the reverse warm and appealing.
Measurements: 1-1/4 inches (3.1 cm) in length by 1-3/16 inches (3 cm) in width by just over ½ of an inch (0.7 cm) in depth not including pin stem. Weight of 15.2 grams (9.8 dwt).
Hallmarks: Sterling on the watch hook and on the back of the heart.
Condition: Very good; one paste replaced; one paste with evidence of a bit of glue; one chipped paste and one just a hint more golden.
Date: Circa 1900.
