Antique Silver Tiger Claw Pendant
We typically see the tiger claw jewelry of the British Raj era with a rose gold jacket. It is unusual to see the natural claw with its organic color variegations clad in silver. Hand engraved with scrolls, swirls and botanical motifs, the silvery jacket has been embellished with a scalloped edge similar to the dentition of a wild cat.
Measurements: 1-3/16 inches (3 cm) in length including top two "O" fittings by 1-1/16 inches (1.5 cm) at the widest. Top at silver cap is 5/8 of an inch wide (1.6 cm). Weight of 2.4 grams (1.5 dwt).
Date & Origin: Circa 1880 – 1910 and is most likely British Raj Indian in origin.
