Antique Emerald & Diamond Ring
A superb pear or teardrop faceted vivid green emerald is set within a border of fourteen (14) old mine cut diamonds with one at the tip, each approximately .05 carats (color H-K, clarity SI) for a total estimated diamond weight of .75 carats. The emerald is moderately included and is approximately .75 carats with a medium to medium dark strong saturation and color and is of Columbian origin. Beneath the gems is an openwork gallery of 14k textured yellow gold and an almost floral-like design beneath.
Measurements: 3/4 of an inch (1.9 cm) north to south on the hand by 1.5 inches (1.3 cm) at the widest and rises 1/4 of an inch (0.6 cm) from the finger. This antique ring has a weight of 5.0 grams (3.2 dwt).
Ring Size: US 5-3/4 (UK L; Euro 16.375, 51.75 mm) and can easily be sized. Ring sizing information.
Condition: Very good; one chip to a side of the emerald next to the claw visible with magnification; one small surface scratch; ring shank has been sized but professionally done.
Note: All diamond and gemstone weights, color grades and clarity are approximate as the stones have not been removed in order to preserve the integrity of the setting.
