Striking Turquoise & Diamond Earrings
Teardrop shaped cabochons of turquoise with a striking and even color of robin's egg blue have been prong set open back into 18k white gold mounts. Just a sliver of white gold can be seen when viewed from the side. Each turquoise teardrop is 25.5 mm in length by 22 mm wide.
Platinum surmounts, set with a round brilliant cut diamond of .75 carats apiece (with a total estimated diamond weight of 1.50 carats) have H-I color and VS2-SI1 clarity.
Measurements: 1-1/2 inches (3.7 cm) in length by and 7/8 of an inch (2.2 cm) at the widest. Weight of 18.1 grams (11.6 dwt) for the pair.
Hallmarks: 18k on the back bottom of each earrings; PT on the back of the earring tops.
Condition: Good; 4 small side chips to one turquoise; tops and bottoms are a marriage of two different pieces of jewelry.
Date & Origin: Modern estate and is American in origin.
