Marquise Shaped Sapphire Diamond Ring
That marvelous contrast of white diamonds and blue sapphires places this marquise shaped ring right in the middle of the Art Deco period. The smashing geometrics of an estimated .50 carat oval natural blue sapphire, twelve (12) square cut sapphires of a total .50 carats and twenty-eight (28) single cut diamonds of about .30 carats in arcs and rhomboids all set within silver topped 14k yellow gold give the go ahead to revel in all the boldness the era has to offer.
Measurements: Width north to south on the finger is 3/4 of an inch (2.0 cm) and across the gem area is 9/16 of an inch (1.4 cm). Height off the finger is 1/4 of an inch (0.7 cm). Weight is 5.4 grams (3.4 dwt).
Ring Size: 7 3/4 US (UK P; Euro 18, 57 mm) and can easily be sized.
Hallmarks: One illegible hallmark.
Condition: Very good with medium wear to the metal overall one chip to one small sapphire; some light wear to some small sapphires.
Date: Circa 1925.
