Round Brilliant Diamond Ring of 1.17 c.
Some diamond rings seem to just "outshine" others and it is not so much because of the size or cut of the stone. The design and the mount each play an important role in how the overall ring is perceived.
It is not contested that this particular modern ring has a shimmering main diamond - a round brilliant cut of 1.17 carats, H-I color and VS1-SI1 clarity. However, the design and 18k white gold setting provide just the right touch of pizzazz that creates the excitement that comes from a truly dazzling ring.
Adding to the sparkle are twenty-six (26) round brilliants encrusting the finely detailed engraved shank. The four prong set main diamond is further enhanced by gorgeous pierced open work scrolling dotted with three (3) round brilliant diamonds on the top. Similar open work decorates the underside section of the band. Altogether, the 26 round brilliants of .40 carats and the central diamond of 1.17 carats bring the total estimated carat weight of the ring to 1.57 carats of radiance, splendor and shine.
Measurements: Diameter of the diamond is 5/16 of an inch (0.7 cm) and rises 1/4 of an inch (0.6 cm) from the finger. Weight of 4.7 grams (3.0 dwt).
