Duet in the Clouds - Porcelain Cherub Brooch
When painted by hand porcelain is a medium that enables the display of a surprising range of depth and expression. A duet of winged cherubs – one with tawny hair and the other blond – set their gaze just beyond the beholder. A muted palette is used to render the scene, pink cheeked, soft red lips, brown eyes and mauve wings. The convex porcelain oval plaque is set within 9k rose gold with a beaded border.
