Elegant Edwardian Moonstone Negligé Pendant

Around the turn of the 20th century a new style of sensual and delicate necklace came into vogue—the negligé pendant. Typically consisting of a slender chain necklet suspending a central collet-set gem which supports two pendant drops often differing in length. Here we have a lovely Edwardian example incorporating ethereal moonstone cabochons set into simple 9k yellow gold bezels.
Measurements: 16 inches (40.5 cm) in total length. The length of the longest drop from the center stone is 1-1/2 inches (3.8 cm) and the other is 1 inch (2.5 cm). The weight of the antique pendant is 4.9 grams (3.2 dwt).
Condition: Excellent; lowest moonstone is a hint more cloudy and yellow.
