Incandescent Dreams - Antique Diamond Sapphire Ring 1.0 C
A crescendo of platinum and gems places this diamond ring in a category all its own. The luxury of Edwardian design clearly shines through with finely mille-grained edgework that emphasizes a refined elegance. A spectacular 1.0 carat old European cut diamond of H-I color and VS2 clarity is set in apex of a platinum mount of open work tracery underscored with thirty-four (34) single cut accent diamonds. The mille-grained pierced gallery resembles the petals of a tulip just opening as the almost imperceptible prongs embrace the central diamond and continues through ten (10) sapphires trimming the leaf engraved shoulders with a slow transition into a smooth and silken platinum band.
Measurements: 5/16 of an inch (0.7 cm) north to south on the finger and is more than ¼ of an inch (0.6 cm) in height. This ring has a weight of 3.1 grams (2.0 dwt).
