The Sea & The Earth - Sporting Brooch
Here is an example of sporting jewelry extraordinaire in the form of a bar brooch with an elusive fox calmly sitting upon a blister pearl. Decked out in twenty-four (24) rose cut diamonds, his tiny ruby eyes gleam with curiosity. Whether worn on the iconic red jacket of those astride magnificent equines or gracing a jacket or sweater, this charmer is fashioned in silver (for the fox) and 15k rose gold for the brooch. The piece still retains its original safety chain and pin which can be easily removed if so desired.
Measurements: 2 inches (5.1 cm) in length and the center of the pearl is 11/16 of an inch (1.7 cm) in width side by side and 9/16 of an inch (1.5 cm) back to front. 3/8 of an inch (1.1 cm) in height from the gold base of the pearl to top of the fox. This brooch has a weight of 7.9 grams (4.8 dwt).
Hallmarks: 15 “CT” for 15k.
Condition: Excellent; a bit of natural darkening to the rear of pearl.
