Engraved Edwardian Buckle Ring
The buckle motif has been used for centuries. Whether a component of armorial bearings or incorporated as a design for jewelry, to this day it remains an icon.
Here we have a fully hallmarked late Edwardian interpretation in 18k yellow gold. Richly chased gold work decorate the entire band with finely designed floral and leaf motifs bounded by deep incised channels. The buckle, prong and hasp provide a three-dimensional relief to the chasing.
