Antique Natural Pearl Ring in Original Box
The romantic style of the 1830s through the 1850s is embodied in this mint condition natural pearl ring. Typical of the English, is has a tripartite shank chased with a deep, sinuous texture that culminates in a diamond shape set with lustrous natural half pearls. Creamy and lustrous, the pearls vary in size—each more luminescent than the next.
All are set into 18k yellow gold accompanied by what appears to be its original box. This is no wonder as this ring truly appears as though it rarely has been worn. On the reverse, the poignant memory of a loss is engraved the words "In Memory of Mary Bacon died Feby 21, 1853 aged 83."
