Hot Modern: Sapphire & Diamond Ring
Evocating the elegance, finesse and delicacy of the Belle Époque, this modern ring is all hand-made and beautifully crafted. The overall configuration of this graceful ring has an elongated elliptical shape emphasized by a modified oval Ceylon sapphire of an estimated .60 carats set in a yellow gold bezel floating within its center. A diamond studded perimeter of twenty-two rose cuts and two larger European cuts surrounds the dramatic crisp cornflower blue sapphire. Beautiful appointments of four single cut diamond leaves and an 18k white gold top create a fragile breathlessness. Fine detailing includes millegrain decoration as a rose cut diamond twosome accents each shoulder to conclude with a smooth 18k yellow gold band. The total estimated diamond weight is .30 points.
Measurements: 5/8 of an inch (1.4 cm) north to south on the hand by 9/16 of an inch (1.3 cm) from diamond to diamond and rises up 1/8 of an inch (0.3 cm) from the finger. This ring has a weight of 2.2 grams (1.4 dwt).
