Antique Diamond Earrings - Crescent Moons
Late 19th century designs often incorporated the heavens with the moon and stars as their inspiration. "Pop off the page" diamond earrings begin with a crescent moon set in graduated old European diamonds. From this is suspended two more swaying diamonds and inside yet another dangling diamond. All in an 18k yellow gold setting with lever back ear wires. Petite in scale, but dazzling in person, the diamonds have a magic that puts modern diamonds to shame.
Each contains twelve (12) diamonds in varying sizes with a total estimated diamond weight in each earring of .75 carats, so of course a total diamond weight of 1.5 carats. The color range is G-H and clarity VS2-SI1.
