Bold Color in an Art Deco Paste Brooch

$875 USD Item 11575

Although paste played an most important role in Georgian jewelry, its twilight years were still a highlight during the 1920s and 1930s. Long and lean, linear and boldly colorful, this silver brooch represents the modernism and sophistication of the Art Deco period. Designed and crafted as well as its precious gem brethren, a red ruby paste navette is encompassed by a swirl of emerald colored paste, as an exclamation point comprised of white paste clearly makes it mark.
